RESIDENTIAL SAFETY SURFACING

Common materials for residential use include RUBBER MULCH, PEA GRAVEL, and WOOD CHIPS.  Although Rubber Mulch may cost a bit more initially, we have found it to be more cost effecitve in the long term.

RUBBER MULCH looks like real wood mulch, yet is splinter free and will not scratch or irritate exposed skin.  Rubber mulch also does not get packed down, blown away, or washed away (under normal conditions), which helps minimize the need for and hassle of re-applying material year after year.

Advantages to RUBBER MULCH are:

• Easy to transport and spread - (40 lbs bags)                         • No Splinters
• Non-Toxic, environmentally safe                                               • Low maintenance, does not compress
• Natural wood colors or attractive fun colors                            • Lasts 25 Years without decomposing
• Color lasts up to 10 years without fading                                • Inhibits mold, fungus and bugs

COMMERCIAL SAFETY SURFACING

There are two types of safety surfacing available for Commercial applications.

LOOSE FILL
These surfaces cost less up front but require maintenance such as re-filling or re-distributing. 
Not all of these options are ADA compliant.
 - Wood Chips / Engineered Fiber
 - Pea Gravel
 - Rubber Mulch

UNITARY SURFACE
These surfaces offer warranties, require little maintenance, and are ADA compliant, however they cost a bit more initially.
 - Rubber Tiles
 - Pour-in-Place
 - Synthetic Grass
